With July 2025 upon us, I am proud to be writing this today. I accomplished a lot in my career, expected and unexpected projects, and with my life as well.
Briefly touching on my career, I had a full-time and a part-time position, and I was working everyday for about a good number of months. I learned about the effect that truly poor leadership and lack of accountability has on an organization. You never get to understand great or even decent leadership until you are under a poor one. I do not wish to sully the names of others, as I am a young man and can run a bit hot headed at times. I will promise anyone that reads this: I vow to be a greater leader than the ones that have led me.
With recently starting as a full-time data center operator, I realize the skills that I have built up flow to me pretty naturally, and it has made it very easy to complete side projects. With other positions I have held in the past that are not totally information technology focused, I do better than average. I can move, dissemble and reassemble furniture around well, respond to emails timely and orderly, balance a budget, schedule appointments, and so much more.
This lead to making one of my best side projects: a home server with a media solution that can be provided to any client in my apartment, a locally ran artificial intelligence, plus so much more – costing me less than $300 in hardware. I achieved this all with community based software as well, so I don’t have any fees to worry about. This leads me the believe that most businesses can costs by at least 25% year over year if they hire competent employees that can make software recommendations.
I will do a full break down of how I made this home server possible when I gather all the details, but it only happened because I was hungry enough to want it, and get it for myself. The next logical step for the project is to make the home server a solar powered robot.
For my future in 2025, I will be getting more certifications in the next couple months such as the A+ and the Network+ as they currently have a direct impact on my career. I am also still working on my house-building helper application/website. I am in a rough patch in life right now, but I am still working my way through it. I will be open start advertising my people’s projects as I have enough project planning/management experience from my career and personal projects any and all pieces put together.
